Plumbing Project Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Rolls Mechanical is a premier mechanical contractor located in Fenton, Michigan, that specializes in commercial, institutional & industrial HVAC, Refrigeration, Controls, Electrical, and Plumbing. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our HVAC/Hydronics management team. The Estimator/Project Manager is a full-time position responsible for bid proposals, takeoffs, and managing aspects of ongoing construction projects in the field. This includes management of employees, customer relations, logistics, procurement, scheduling, sub-contractors, safety, risk management, and contract administration.
EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT
- Manage all direct reports, which may include General superintendents, site superintendents, foremen, and other workers in the field.
- Direct and monitor all on-site supervisors in relation to logistics, scheduling, and procurement.
- Coordinate the week-to-week manpower needs for multiple projects.
- Coordinate with HR for any employee issues related to hiring, termination, and evaluation.
- Approve timesheets and any other information between the field and the office.
CUSTOMER RELATIONS
- Be a liaison between our employees in the field and our customers.
- Communicate with our team any changes to the scope of work with our projects.
- Coordinate any logistics, scheduling & procurement needs with our team.
- Coordinate efforts across the entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc., to determine the specifications of the project.
LOGISTICS, SCHEDULING & PROCUREMENT
- Help coordinate all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion.
- Adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan.
- Uses scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression.
- Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors.
- Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments.
- Predict resources needed to complete the project. Orders necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Manage resources such as construction materials, construction workers, and equipment. Provide internal reporting and projections for inventory of tools, equipment, and machinery.
SAFETY RISK MANAGEMENT
- Attend weekly project management meetings to review all projects, budgets, and workflow.
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met and followed.
- Ensure work is done in compliance with those relevant building and safety codes.
- Prevent injuries, slowdowns, and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites and reporting safety regulation issues promptly.
- Obtains all necessary regulations, licenses, permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites and ensures construction is up to code.
